What this site collects, why, and how to request deletion

This policy explains what kcsatish.com collects, why it is collected, who processes it, and how to request access or deletion. The site is a personal portfolio operated by Satish K C in Houston, Texas. It sells nothing and requires no account.

Analytics: the site records aggregate page views and outbound link clicks to understand which work is being read. This is handled by Google Analytics and PostHog. Data collected is limited to page path, referrer, approximate region derived from IP address, and a randomly generated visitor identifier stored in your browser's local storage under the key ph_distinct_id. No name, email address or precise location is collected by analytics. Clearing your browser storage resets that identifier. Analytics can be blocked with any standard content blocker without affecting site functionality.

Contact form: if you submit the contact form, the name, email address, subject and message you enter are transmitted through EmailJS to a private mailbox controlled by Satish K C. That information is used only to reply to your inquiry and to maintain a record of the conversation. It is never sold, rented or used for unrelated marketing. Messages are retained for as long as needed to service the inquiry and any resulting engagement, then deleted on request.

Third-party processors: Vercel provides hosting and records standard server request logs. Google Analytics and PostHog provide analytics. EmailJS provides contact form delivery. Google Fonts serves the site typefaces. Each processor handles data under its own published policy. This site sets no advertising cookies and participates in no ad network.

Your rights: you may request a copy of any personal data held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Send the request to [email protected] and it will be actioned within 30 days. Because the site stores no accounts, in most cases the only data held is the contents of any message you chose to send.
